Chippewa Falls, WI- The Chippewa Steel of the NAHL have announced the signing of Jake McCatty to a tender agreement.
McCatty played in 18 games for Compuware 18U AAA last season. The 5’9 150-pound forward recorded 13 goals and 12 assists.
“We’re excited to sign a player of Jake’s caliber to a tender. He is a very skilled, offensive player with the ability to produce points and someone that we feel will be able to have an immediate impact at our level. We look forward to watching his progress this season and having him join us,” stated Head Coach Carter Foguth.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.
