Steel Get Set to Take on Bruins

The Steel gets ready to host the Austin Bruins tonight before heading to Austin, MN for a road game Saturday night.

The Austin Bruins hold an 8-1 record on the season giving them the 1st place spot in the central division. Their one loss so far was to the Topeka Pilots. The Bruins top skater is forward Dante Sheriff, who has 13 points, 5 goals, and 8 assists. Dante Zapata follows with 9 points, 3 goals, and 6 assists. Brett Miller leads the Bruins in goal with a 4-0 record. The Bruins will be coming off a 3-1-win last night against the MN Wilderness.

After losing to the Aberdeen Wings last weekend, the Steel will be looking for a comeback. With a 3-10 record, they hold the 6th spot in the Midwest Division. Camden Thiesing leads the team with 10 points, 5 goals, and 5 assists. Tomas Vochozka follows with 9 points, 3 goals, and 6 assists. Josh Langford leads the Steel in goal.

The Steel will be at home Friday, November 2nd to take on the Janesville Jets for Stress Reliever Hockey Puck Giveaway presented by Kwik Trip. Puck drops at 7:10 p.m. and fans can get their tickets online at or by calling the office at 715-861-2131.
