Chippewa Falls, WI – The Chippewa Steel of the NAHL have announced the signing of Nate Albers to a tender contract for the 2020-2021 season. Nate is a forward from McKinney, TX.
Nate played for Northstar Christian Academy during the 2019-2020 season. The 6’4 181-pound forward recorded 11 goals and 15 assists.
“Nate is a big physical forward that plays with an edge. He provides leadership and is hard to play against,” stated Steel Head Coach Carter Foguth.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.
