Steel Announce Exhibition Game September 7th
(Chippewa Falls, WI)- The Chippewa Steel have announced they will host an Exhibition game on Friday, September 7th at 7:00 PM at Chippewa Area Ice Arena. The Steel will face off against the Minnesota Wilderness out of the Central Division.
Fans will have the opportunity see the team in their home jerseys for the first time and purchase merchandise before the regular season starts on Friday, September 14th. Concessions and beer will also be available for purchase.
Due to ice resurfacing in the south rink where the Steel will play all their 28 home games this exhibition game will take place in the north rink of Chippewa Area Ice Arena. This event will have standing room only available as bleachers for the north rink remodel will be installed in mid-September. Tickets for this event are FREE due to the north rink remodel.
The Chippewa Steel are members of the NAHL which is the oldest and largest junior hockey league of its kind in the United States and one of only two USA Hockey-certified leagues that operate under the non pay-to-play model. The NAHL is also one of the best at advancing players to NCAA and professional hockey.
