The Chippewa Steel are members of the NAHL and play 28 games from September until April. The Steel are looking for interns to fill vital roles in the front office. Each internship has flexible hours and can be broken into a fall,spring or full season internship opportunity.

The Steel internship program is designed to help you apply the knowledge and skills you have gained in your college courses to professional settings. It will also allow you the opportunity to:

• Explore a particular career path
• Confirm your choice of major
• Help you decide whether to pursue graduate studies
• Develop professional skills that aren’t easily gained through classroom learning

Marketing Internship-Fall/Spring/Full Season 

  • Responsibilities:
  • Marketing Interns will help in coordinating in-game promotions
  • Distribution of giveaway items
  • Contribute to team’s social media accounts
  • Assist in development/distribution of team’s marketing materials
  • Develop market/fan research studies
  • Execute/Development of Game Presentation
  • Assist in production of Steel website content
  • Help create short-term and long-term social media marketing campaigns

Marketing  Internship-(Game Nights Only)

  • Responsibilities:
  • Marketing Interns will help in coordinating in-game promotions
  • Distribution of giveaway items
  • Contribute to team’s social media marketing plan
  • Execute Game Presentation

Graphic Design Internship -Fall/Spring/Full Season

  • Responsibilities:
  • Development of print and digital collateral
  • Assist in creating graphics for print,social and website
  •  Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creative and self-starter

The Chippewa Steel are members of the NAHL which is the oldest and largest junior hockey league of its kind in the United States and one of only two USA Hockey-certified leagues that operate under the non pay-to-play model.  The NAHL is also one of the best at advancing players to NCAA and professional hockey.
